Based opposite Eden Park in Central Auckland, Handcraft Music grew out of a passion for music and the intimate details involved in songwriting and arrangements across a variety of genres.

We are self-taught at Handcraft Music, beginning our journey with bass then on to the guitar, we have nearly 20 years of experience to rely on. From pop to country to hard rock, we have developed a set of skills that we want to use to help improve our musical community. What worked best was learning our favourite songs, focusing on what we love, and relentlessly practicing.

Many great musicians started by teaching themselves through the songs they loved. Plenty also began their music careers later in their lives - Bill Withers was 27, Leonard Cohen at 33, and B.B. King & Joni Mitchell were in their early 20s.

To us, this is evidence that anybody can learn how to play guitar, at anytime.
This is what Handcraft Music can use to help improve the music community around Auckland.
